To the Church Planter Who Wondered If It Was Worth It

Leadership

Dear church planter that had to close your church.

While others were talking about it, you were doing it. At least you stepped out and tried.

So, maybe God didn’t build a church. Maybe he built a man. Maybe he was shaping you into someone with a burden for lost people who didn’t wait for others who were never going anyway.

You’re not a failure, you’re a hero.

  • Sometimes it takes people of faith, simply plowing fields and planting seeds without ever seeing a harvest.
  • Sometimes it takes those pioneer-spirited people to plant what others will reap later.

There’s never anything wrong with obedience to God. People count numbers. God counts faithfulness. Thank you for stepping out in great faith and sacrifice.

Remember the law of the harvest. We reap what we sow. It didn’t mean ‘where’ we sow, but be sure of this… God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.

Your rewards are divinely ordered.

What’s next for you? Surely, whatever it is will require the same faith and burden that sent you out in the first place.

Oh, and if you never heard this from those you were reaching for, let me say “thank you”.

I’m for you.
